Hardcover API Token Setup

Hardcover is a book tracking and discovery platform with rich metadata: covers, descriptions, community ratings, review counts, moods, and tags. To use it as a metadata provider in Booklore, you need a free API token from your Hardcover account.

Get Your Token

  1. Sign up or log in at hardcover.app
  2. Go to Account > API to open the API Access page
  3. Copy the token from the text box. It starts with Bearer followed by a long string beginning with eyJ...

Configure Booklore

  1. Open Settings > Metadata 1
  2. Enable the Hardcover checkbox
  3. Paste the token (without the Bearer prefix) into the API Token field
  4. Click Save
